Founded in 1995, X Squared Design is a contemporary multidisciplinary design practice with extensive experience in exhibition design, site-specific public art and graphic design. We work on large and small projects for a diverse range of clients from public and private sectors.

XSD’s approach to design is to respond to our clients’ needs, the content and the site. Our aim is to deliver an emotionally and intellectually engaging experience that communicates the intended messages in the most compelling and meaningful way. We often collaborate with specialists from different disciplines to achieve more creative, engaging, layered and integrated results. Our services include exhibition planning, design and documentation; exhibition coordination; content research and editing; environmental graphics; residential building design; and public artwork design consultation.

We have delivered over 300 projects of varying sizes since 1995 and have won many awards. Our most recent award was for the Australian PlantBank interpretation project for the Australian Botanic Gardens, where we were awarded the Museums and Galleries National Award for Level 3 Permanent Exhibition Gallery Fitout 2015. 

XSD has adopted sustainable design principles: We use environmentally sustainable materials and design responsibly to minimize wastage.
